Washing & Care Instructions for AK ColdRide Raincoat

Machine Washable.

·       Machine washable up to 30 degrees,

• Wash cold on a gentle cycle
• Use mild, non-biological detergent (no bleach, fabric softeners, or harsh chemicals)
• Fasten all zippers and close all flaps before washing
• Do not wring or twist
• Wash separately or with like technical garments

Drying:

• Air dry flat or hang in a well-ventilated area
• Do not tumble dry
• Keep away from direct heat sources (radiators, fireplaces, direct sunlight)

Waterproof Reproofing:

• After several washes, reproof the waterproof layer using a durable water repellent (DWR) spray or wash-in product designed for technical outerwear (e.g., Nikwax, Grangers)
• Always apply DWR while the coat is clean and slightly damp, then air dry or lightly heat set if permitted

Fur Lining Care:

• Do not bleach or iron
• Spot clean the lining with a damp cloth if needed
• Avoid soaking the fur lining completely in water

Storage:

• Store in a cool, dry place
• Hang the coat on a wide, padded hanger to retain shape
• Avoid long-term compression or folding, which can damage the waterproof membrane and lining
